Hey everyone. I just got my manifold and turbine housing back from my coater. I originally wanted to get them coated titanium, but that option was no longer available so I had to settle for black. Oh well, it'll still get the job done! Anyway, here are a few pictures of the newly coated manifold and a few new shots of the motor.

The original goal was to run 13.99 with the car, so hopefully this setup will be able to reach that goal. Razz

What car is this in & what turbo is that? The manifold looks good!

The motor is going in my 2nd Gen DSM. You can check out the pictures of it on our facebook:
https://www.facebook.com/pages/AND-Performance/196937130822?ref=ts

The turbo is just a regular run of the mill 35R. However, I'm on the fence about sending it to Forced Performance and getting it HTA'd.

the 35R is a great turbo, that's what alot of my DSM friends were running. Is that the HKS timing belt? You should be happy with the outcome. What made you get the Magnus intake? A few guys I know use it, but I know more that use the JM Fab.

When I was deciding on the manifold, I compared the JMFab with the Magnus and I liked Magnus' design over JM's. However, Once I get the car broken in I'm planning on putting a bigger stall, better axles, aluminum driveshaft and I'm going to upgrade to the JMFab Drag manifold. I'm not sure if you've ever seen one of those, but the plenum on the drag series is MASSIVE. Also, I'm using the Gates racing belt. I wanted the HKS so it would match my wastegate, but I just couldn't force myself to spend that much money on a belt solely for the color.

Thanks for the comments guys!

I hear you on the added price for the HKS. The drag JM mani is nice that's what the guys I know are running. I will be following this build, Im sure that you are going to have great results.

Thanks man, I hope it puts out what it's supposed to put out, haha.

Oh, Fed Ex just dropped by another treat just now. It's not a go fast piece, but I still think it's cool. My new Shuriken Slim Battery. It's supposed to put out as much as my old Optima but it's crazy small.

Damn that battery is small. Should be no reason why you can't make in the upper 500's & even low 600. I have seen many 35R 4g63's in that range. Two of my good friends made 600+ on the 35R one was on a stock bottom end 6 bolt.

Haha, I was trying to keep numbers a mystery, but you're right. The car should put out about 600 on the turbo and once I get my drivetrain well prepped I plan on adding a 125 shot of gas to the combination.

It's all gravy man. I'll be running an IPT 9.5" Converter and the Kiggly Front Clutch kit upgrade with a shift kit. Other than that, everything is staying OEM. There have been a lot of guys making big power without upgrading the automatic so I'll try my luck. Very Happy

Yeah one of my friends switched over to an auto in his race car. He is using IPT stuff & some custom pedal shifter set up he made. It's the red 1G i posted about with the white 2G. He just got a CNC'ed head & stepped up in turbo, not sure what size now tho. I do know that the 2G is now running a new 67 & he said the 1G is running a slightly bigger unit than him. Both will be running a fogger system this year.
His site www.foreignmuscle.com & a good friend of my DSM friends site is www.brookstuned.com he's a good guy & know's his shit.

I've heard nothing but great things about the guys over at Brooks Tuning. I wish they were a little closer to here so I could get them to take a look at my tunes once I get it running, haha. I'm pretty sure a friend of mine is getting his ECU chipped by Foreign Muscle as well. Small world.
